Together with your team, you will ...As a Platform Development Manager (Java) you will serve as a technical and people management lead for the team responsible for design, development and delivery of solutions for Equities Derivatives business and top-notch bank wide strategic transformation initiatives. Together with your team, you will work closely with the Head of Atlas Valuations platform, Front Office IT Development, Quants, Business, and other teams to help deliver integrated solutions across the whole platform tailoring the solutions to help meet the needs of the Global Business.

What will you be doing?

  • Designing, developing and delivering solutions that meet the needs of Equites Derivatives business and the wider organisation
  • Ensuring the work for the team is properly managed, requirements captured, designs documented, and work estimated following the team’s policies and scrum process
  • Ensuring the work of the team meets the standards set out by the Head of Atlas Valuations and the wider organisation, including any centrally defined policies
  • Providing Line Management to the senior developers in the Prague Atlas Valuations Team
  • Providing assistance on the production support for the platform and ensuring the platform is stable, reliable and best in class
  • Communicating regularly with key stakeholders including Project Managers, Senior Management, and the business
  • Taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you do

Požadujeme
What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive knowledge of Java, its ecosystem, libraries, and tools with the ability to coach, guide others and drive best practices
  • Experience working on large high-performance, high-volume systems with a sound ability to design and deliver solutions in such a domain and clearly communicate those designs
  • Proficient with Scrum and general SDLC processes and practices, their implementation on a software development project and ability to drive the usage and implementation
  • Experience working in a complex environment, managing a team, and working with multiple IT teams and stakeholders, spread across multiple locations


Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Knowledge of Equity Derivatives or other Investment Banking Asset Class
  • Familiarity with other languages besides Java. C# or C++ most desirable
  • Knowledge of databases & their SQL languages (e.g., Oracle, MSSQL, PL/SQL, TSQL)
  • Experience using containers and container management solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes
