Mechanical Engineer

Design and develop innovative mechanical systems for the semiconductor industry, ensuring high precision and reliability.

We develop and maintain Scanning Electron Microscope systems, providing critical solutions for our customers to advance their research and production.

The Position

The Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Tech Lead is responsible for the BOM structures of the electron microscope, maintaining, implementing new modules, and removing old ones.

Design, integrate, test, and debug mechanical constructions, conduct system-level configuration of mechanical architectures, and fix and solve existing mechanical designs.

Responsibilities:
  • System-level configuration of mechanical architectures.
  • Designing sub-modules needed for the implementation to the system.
  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, and processes with emphasis on practical, applied knowledge.
  • Works on New Product Development projects from concept to release.
  • Provides input during the specification and design phase of new products.
  • Defines and completes test plans for mechanical/mechatronic components.
  • Communicates with project leaders, GTS, OE, and manufacturing project members.
  • Coordinates external developers' work contributing to a particular NPD project.
  • Takes responsibility for safety around the design and designated prototype/system setups.
  • Sets up training and coordinates/trains Manufacturing, Sustaining Products, and Service personnel.
  • Supports factory and field service engineers with first builds, installs, and upgrades.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a technical field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with designing and drawing in 3D CADs.
  • Experience performing ECOs and creating/updating BOMs.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and concise analysis of data and basic experimental methods.
  • Fluent in English and local language (verbal and in writing).
