Job Title: Data Protection and Privacy Legal Specialist

SAP is a leading enterprise software company that helps organizations run better. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Protection and Privacy Legal Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to assist SAP in complying with applicable data protection and privacy laws within the scope of our business objectives. As a Data Protection and Privacy Legal Specialist, you will be part of our global data protection and privacy legal team and report directly to the SAP Group Data Protection Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on data protection and privacy issues, including implementation of new or amended data protection requirements, support with data subject rights requests, and execution of data protection impact assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to drive awareness and enablement on data protection compliance, including risks assessments and mitigation actions.
  • Draft and execute Data Protection and Privacy guidelines and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited law school, further graduation advantageous.
  • Licensed to practice law in Germany or another jurisdiction within the EU.
  • Good knowledge of data protection laws and best practices.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Professional and trustworthy personality, high level of commitment and flexibility.
  • Strong team-working skills.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in other languages advantageous.
  • Business/technical background preferred.

Work Experience:

  • At least 3 years of working experience in dealing with complex data protection and privacy issues.
  • General knowledge of company processes and collaboration with global/cross-functional teams.
