The Azure DevOps Platform team in Prague builds a suite of microservices to support the scaling and reliability needs of the platform, which runs some of the largest, most complex, and demanding DevOps workloads in the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of senior engineers.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience managing teams of 6+ engineers.
  • Proven software development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner across teams to deliver experiences that customers love.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing and developing junior and senior talent.
  • Growth mindset to look at each challenge as an opportunity to learn, create clarity, generate energy and deliver success.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systems and approaches to ensuring high quality in products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize customer and partner feedback into action.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and critical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields.
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud or other cloud providers.
  • Experience designing, building and running large scale, secure and highly available cloud services or distributed systems.
  • Troubleshooting skills across network, application, caching, queuing, load-balancing storage and distributed services layers.
  • Practice of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and safe deployment practices.
