We are looking for a Backend Wordpress Developer to join our expanding team at a Ukrainian outsourcing IT company, specializing in full-cycle software and web development.

We need a specialist who is well-versed in all the capabilities of WordPress and can write custom code in PHP, as well as understands how to optimize database performance. The front-end team handles all the markup and passes it on for integration, so you won’t need to do any markup.

Most of the projects involve non-standard functionality, such as creating custom content filters, working with LMS, building personal dashboards, subscription functionality, tests, surveys, etc.

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of experience in developing and supporting commercial products in WordPress (including custom theme and plugin development, and payment integration).
  • Extensive experience managing MySQL databases.
  • Experience working with WP Multisite, Multilanguage, ACF, WPML.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, OOP.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6+ (jQuery).
  • Experience with MVC architecture.
  • Proficient in working with Git (GitHub, GitLab).
  • Experience with mobile-first development.
  • Experience with SCSS/SASS and creating custom mixins.
  • Semantic, responsive cross-browser markup following BEM methodology.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (Flex, Grid).
  • Experience working with Figma.
  • Experience with preprocessors (Sass).
  • Proficient in Gulp, Webpack.
  • Knowledge of best SEO practices.​
