What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team. In this role, you will develop and maintain an observability platform that enhances our ability to monitor and improve the performance and scalability of our health and fitness applications. This position is pivotal in helping the organization streamline monitoring practices across our technology portfolio.

Required Skills:

  • Strong background in cloud infrastructure, particularly within AWS environments, and proficient in infrastructure as code practices using Terraform. 
  • Proficient in programming, especially in Python, within cloud and serverless environments. 
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with observability and monitoring tools and practices (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Pagerduty, etc.). 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex technical challenges and deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization. 

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, Redis, and ORM frameworks like SQLAlchemy. 
  • Familiarity with additional monitoring tools and practices that support high availability and performance. 
  • Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes.
