Principal Software Engineer

We empower them to create innovative solutions for UK businesses by providing a one-stop-shop for Comms, Cloud, Hardware, and Billing.
Job RoleThis role combines technical leadership with team advocacy. You will lead the charge in implementing change within designated areas or platforms, mentoring a talented team of software and QA engineers along the way.
As a key member of our team, you will focus on designing high-performance solutions while influencing the technical direction of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Code Quality and Best Practices: Establish coding standards, review code for quality, and promote thorough documentation.
- Mentorship: Foster the growth and development of less experienced engineers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
- Technology Evaluation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption.
- Technical Design: Oversee complex software problems and produce high-quality designs aligning with business objectives.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify technical risks and implement strategies to mitigate them proactively.
- Strong experience with Microsoft .NET stack & technologies.
- Proven ability to define Software Development technical processes that maximize developer output and quality.
- Experience in technical mentorship and team building.
- Solid knowledge of software architecture, frameworks, and design patterns.
- Preferred experience with CI / CD, test automation, and performance testing.
- Preferred experience working with Azure Dev Ops or equivalent tracking tools.
- Preferred experience delivering software into SaaS / Cloud environments.
