Vitabay is a family-run e-commerce company with over 25 years of experience in the field of nutritional supplements and health products. We have been developing and selling high-quality vitamins and supplements since 1999 - successfully via Amazon, and increasingly via our own Shopify store.

Our goal: to make the Shopify store the mainstay of our DTC business - technically strong, performant and scalable in the long term.
To this end, we are looking for an experienced Shopify developer who not only writes code, but also actively contributes to Vitabay's digital future.

• Technical development of our Shopify Plus Shop (front- & backend)
• Individual theme customizations and development of tailor-made Shopify apps
• Integration of relevant tools such as Klaviyo, GA4, A/B testing and much more
• Performance optimization and continuous improvement of the user experience
• Close collaboration with marketing, design & management

What you bring with you:

Front-end competence:

• Sound knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and Liquid.
• Ideally experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js for dynamic elements and individual components (e.g. interactive product finder or personalized checkouts).

Shopify Plus knowledge:

• Confident handling of Shopify APIs (REST and GraphQL).
• Experience in developing custom Shopify apps (e.g. based on Node.js or PHP).
• Practical experience with the integration of common e-commerce tools such as Klaviyo.
• Back-end skills: Knowledge of extending Shopify functionalities via custom development, ideally experience with Shopify Functions or cloud solutions.

Back-end & scaling:

• Knowledge of extending Shopify functionalities (e.g. via Shopify Functions or cloud solutions)
• Experience with high-traffic stores & performance tuning
• Focus on performance, load time optimization and scalable architecture

Data-based optimization:

• Familiar with A/B testing, GA4, funnels and conversion optimization
• Ability to derive and implement specific optimization potential from analysis data (funnels, upselling strategies)
