Your Mission 

We're seeking a Senior Product Designer to own our core experience and turn user tears into product cheers You'll work with the General Manager of the app and collaborate across a multi-functional team to deeply understand user needs, then craft solutions that seamlessly blend visual appeal with real functionality. If you're passionate about delivering meaningful, inspiring product experiences, we'd love to have you on board

What you'll be doing

  • Shape the Design Vision: Create an appealing, intuitive, and delightful Music Statistics mobile app experience.
  • Drive User Insights: Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research (e.g., surveys, interviews) to deeply understand user needs and uncover new opportunities.
  • Balance Constraints and Goals: Make smart trade-offs between ideal design, technical feasibility, and business objectives—especially under tight deadlines or high-pressure situations.
  • Own the Full Design Process: From initial discovery and user journey mapping to wireframing, prototyping, and polishing final UI details (including interactions and Lottie animations).
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Product, Live Operations, Business Development, Analytics, and Engineering to ensure alignment and impactful outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Consumer Product Expertise: You've shipped top-tier mobile and desktop consumer products in fast-paced environments and have the portfolio to prove it
  • High-Pressure Prioritization: You maintain composure under tight deadlines and know when to tackle tasks yourself or outsource them.
  • Growth Mindset & Independence: You're open to new ideas, eager to learn, and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Music & Behavioral Insights: You're passionate about user behavior, Gen Z music trends and know how to apply these insights and communicate them effectively.
  • User-First Focus: You aim to build an impactful product, not just a good-looking one, structuring information clearly for real user value.

The interview process

  1. Initial call with the People team to understand your motivation and background (30 minutes).
  2. Portfolio walk-through with the Hiring Manager, diving into 1–2 of your past projects (1 hour).
  3. Design challenge: A hands-on exercise to showcase your skills and expertise.
  4. Teamwork and impact round, referencing the design challenge and your portfolio (1 hour).
  5. Final round: Reflect on your journey with us so far and discuss your vision with our CEO and Co-founder (45 minutes).

Our average process takes about 2-4 weeks, but we will always work around your availability. Being Speedy Gonzales is important to us as it is for you.
