Position

We are currently seeking a Senior Accounting Professional to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage technical accounting matters, including reviewing accounts and incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including month-end and year-end closing processes, and prepare account reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with external accounting service providers and independent auditors.
  • Handle correspondence with tax consultants and provide support in preparing tax declarations.
  • Address day-to-day queries and manage the finance email inbox.
  • Participate in external reporting to local regulatory authorities and to EIT.
  • Involvement in internal audits for EIT RawMaterials, prioritizing requests for information from local regulatory bodies, and taking follow-up actions to ensure timely and high-quality responses.
  • Support the department with other administrative tasks.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following qualifications:

  • A master's degree with a focus on economics, accounting, and finance.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting at an international level, particularly in public-funded and regulated organizations, is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Proficiency in office and accounting software (particularly DATEV and excellent MS Excel skills).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in both English and German.
