Lead Instructional Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Instructional Designer to lead the development and quality assurance of our educational content. In this role, you will be the final authority on instructional design, ensuring all content meets our high standards of educational best practices, alignment with learning objectives, and learner success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Content Quality & Strategy: Serve as the final authority on the educational content produced by the content team, ensuring alignment with instructional best practices, educational theory, and high-quality standards across all materials.
  • Develop Course: Design and plan educational content structures, creating detailed course outlines, syllabi, and learning objectives that guide the development of long-form content and courses.
  • Instill Processes for Quality Assurance: Create and implement a process for maintaining consistent, high-quality content across the team. Establish review standards and workflows to ensure content is effective and aligned with educational goals.
  • Collaborate with Technical Writer: Work closely with the content team, providing guidance on how to create engaging, effective learning materials that meet the instructional design and learning objectives of the organization.
  • Ensure Alignment with Educational Best Practices: Be the advocate for high standards in educational design, making sure that all content follows proven instructional design principles and supports learner success.
  • Plan Educational Content: Oversee the creation of comprehensive educational programs and long-form content, planning out the learner journey and ensuring a cohesive, pedagogically sound experience.
  • Monitor and Improve Content Performance: Work closely with the systems administrators, using data and feedback from learners to evaluate the effectiveness of educational content, making necessary improvements to ensure ongoing excellence in delivery and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in instructional design, with the ability to apply educational theory and best practices to ensure content is pedagogically sound and effective.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a strong attention to detail to ensure all content produced is of the highest quality and aligned with instructional design standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work closely with content creators, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure educational content meets the organization's objectives.
  • Analytical mindset to use learner feedback, data, and performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and make data-driven improvements.
