Chief Protein Characterization Scientist

SOTIO Biotech is a pioneering biotech company dedicated to developing innovative protein-based anti-cancer therapies. We are seeking an experienced Chief Protein Characterization Scientist - Lab Team Leader to join our Biologics Core Technologies (BCT) team.

• Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of all routine and custom analyses in the BCT lab, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Lead a small team of scientists, guiding them in their work, reviewing results, and providing mentorship and technical support.
• Design, develop, and implement new methods and techniques for protein characterization, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
• Closely collaborate with project representatives on study design, timing, and conclusions, presenting findings in team and project meetings.

• Master's degree in life sciences, with a PhD preferred.
• A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with protein characterization using techniques like SEC, HIC, RP-HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, NanoDrop, BLI, and stability/stress studies.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience and excellent knowledge of IgG antibody structure and quality attributes.
• Excellent language skills in written and oral English (at least B2 level) and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

We offer a competitive salary of €85,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as a range of benefits including health insurance, pension plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
