Accounting Manager – General Ledger Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the General Ledger team and drive financial excellence within our organization.

About the Role

This is a critical position that requires strong leadership and technical skills to manage the General Ledger process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage the General Ledger Team: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the General Ledger team, focusing on record-to-report processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet and P&L analysis, to provide insightful financial information for business decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with company policies and GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive, collaborative team environment, providing mentorship, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure team members' growth and success.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong Financial Background: 6–8+ years of experience in finance/accounting, with several years in a managerial position, preferably in an SSC environment.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Fluency in English is required; Italian language skills are a strong asset.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of GL processes and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), with experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
