Position Overview

SOTIO Biotech is seeking an accomplished computational biologist to join our Translational Science division.

This role involves collaboration with a talented team to analyze cancer genomic data, identify predictive biomarkers, and assess drug efficacy in clinically relevant immuno-oncology areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Applying computational and bioinformatics methods to analyze cancer genomic data (RNAseq, Nanostring, and other advanced genetic datasets).
  • Conducting computational analyses in the context of immuno-oncology.
  • Providing expertise to support project teams from early discovery to early clinical development.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts as necessary.
Requirements
  • A PhD or master's degree in life sciences, preferably Bioinformatics, computational biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with analyzing and deciphering transcriptomic/genomic data, including RNA seq analysis, NanoString analysis, and WES.
  • Familiarity with deriving systems biology-driven networks from omics data.
  • Proficiency in computational programming languages such as R, Python, or MATLAB.
  • Experience with analyzing publicly available cancer genetic expression datasets, particularly TCGA datasets and GEOdatasets.
  • Skills in applying statistical approaches to biological problems, including statistical testing and linear modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Fluent English language proficiency.
