We are a supportive fast-paced team that has the energy of a start-up with the support infrastructure of a mature product design house.
The initial project for this role is in support of a medication adherence venture called Validose.
Validose is a hardware-enabled software product that objectively and seamlessly tracks patients' use of medication to ensure the effective use of drugs in development.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of high-quality backend services and APIs using Node.js.
The ideal candidate will have experience with designing and building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL, as well as proficiency in databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js.
- Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of the backend infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, data scientists, and regulatory experts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement and maintain best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to meet regulatory standards for medical software.
- Write clear, concise documentation to support development and regulatory submission processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot backend systems to ensure uptime and resolve issues promptly.
- Translate user needs into technical requirements, and describe/justify technical decisions to people outside the Engineering team.
