Job Title: Mainframe System Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled system developer to join our team. As a mainframe system developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting CPU hardware resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement procedures, methods, and conventions for the operation of CPU hardware
  • Ensure technical software management (planning, maintenance, support) as product owner
  • Active participation in central software placement of system environments (central software rollout and z/OS release management)
  • Technical project management, consulting, and pre-sales support
  • Support for Disaster Recovery test actions
  • Creation of technical concepts in collaboration with Service Delivery Management
  • Maintenance of customer-specific documentation (customer operation handbooks)
  • Second-level support for z/OS CPU hardware resources
  • Operational changes/adjustments to system parameters
  • Responsible for setup, configuration, and operation of zSeries CECs and OSA devices
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience with Mainframe HW skill z16, z15 series
  • Knowledge of HMC, IO definition (HCD or HCM), and ZIS architecture
  • Experience in operating z/OS systems and its subsystems
  • Good knowledge of mainframe hardware and software (IBM and Brocade)
  • Project management skills
  • ITIL knowledge
