Key Roles and Responsibilities

As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable infrastructure using distributed systems. Key to success is evaluating technical design and translating it into workable solutions that meet industry standards.

You will lead the creation of reusable artifacts, drive efficient automated processes for data analysis, data model development, validation, and implementation. Additionally, you will write software to ship products in an iterative release environment.

Furthermore, your role requires clear communication with both technical and non-technical audiences and promoting good engineering practices across the team.

Some duties may include defining data retention policies, monitoring performance, and advising necessary infrastructure changes.

While experience is key, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of technologies such as Python, Azure, CI/CD, SQL, Spark, Databricks, Blob Storage, Event Hubs, Spark Streaming, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, DBT, Docker, and Kubernetes.
