Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Database Developer to join our team at Devire. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing reliable and efficient database systems.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement relational database management systems (RDBMS) using SQL and Oracle.
  • Develop strong general database knowledge and expertise.
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka and APIs (optional).
  • Good understanding of data usage within an organisation.
  • Experience with various tool configurations (optional).
Requirements
  • Relational database management system expertise.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Knowledge of Oracle.
  • Data management experience.
  • Awareness of Apache Kafka and APIs (optional).

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Enhancing business ownership for data by involving business areas in work.
  • Establishing a single trusted source for Master & Reference data and consolidating relevant data there from multiple domains and sources.
  • Eliminating alternative data sources by capturing key business needs.
  • Creating product visions describing the target state for the data in the new source.
  • Creating a robust but flexible business data model for each data area and harmonising the data.
  • Establishing data governance and implementing data governance recipe for the new data source.
  • Setting up data quality assurance for the new data source.
  • Setting up data life cycle management for the new data source.
  • Simplifying and automating related E2E business processes together with business areas.
  • Exposing data to consumers via standard API/Kafka interface.
  • Retiring irrelevant data and finding a new home for data that will not be under MDM team responsibility in the future.
  • Preparing for decommissioning of legacy Master and Reference data system MDN.
