Omio is a fully Kubernetes-native organization, where all our workloads operate on Kubernetes, and we adhere to trunk-based development practices. We are in search of a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who is particularly enthusiastic about addressing infrastructure challenges. Your role will involve tackling operational challenges through coding and scripting, while embracing the principles of infrastructure as code. You will play a crucial part in scaling our infrastructure and operations within a decentralized environment that enhances our organizational agility.

Our team not only supports developers throughout their software development lifecycle but also focuses on creating valuable tools across the organization, establishing clear guidelines on usage and expectations. Our problem-solving approach prioritizes: contract first, tooling second. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, own, and manage Omio's cloud and Kubernetes-native infrastructure, ensuring it scales effectively from our current portfolio of over 300 microservices.
  • Enhance developer productivity by equipping them with self-service tools to develop and operate their services.
  • Monitor and proactively maintain our platform services, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, and internal tools for logging, alerting, and monitoring.
  • Aim to minimize the risk of issues or outages and participate in periodic on-call duties for the infrastructure we oversee.
  • Provide support to our developers with your expertise and communicate changes and best practices throughout the technical organization.

For a glimpse into our current infrastructure stack, consider the following:

  • Kubernetes Engine as the foundation, utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for physical infrastructure.
  • Integrations with the Kubernetes API, including template rendering, authorization, validation, and event watchers.
  • Technologies such as Docker and Terraform.
  • Fully automated CI/CD processes managing up to 500 microservices.
  • Logging infrastructure based on the ELK stack.
  • Monitoring solutions utilizing the Graphite stack.
  • NoSQL Document database powered by Couchbase.
  • TCP/HTTP Load Balancing and Proxying.
  • Programming languages including NodeJS, Python, Go, and Bash.
