Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Credit Collection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations department, you will play a crucial role in managing customer relationships and ensuring timely payments.

About the Role

The Credit Collection Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Contacting customers to follow up on overdue payments and resolving any issues that may be causing delays.
  • Updating account statuses, managing fund transfers, and documenting changes to ensure accurate records.
  • Monitoring received payments and providing necessary documents to customers.
  • Identifying and resolving issues causing payment delays, escalating when needed.
  • Handling requests for credit notes and processing refunds for overpayments.
  • Clearing and managing cash accounts as required.
  • Preparing reports and forecasts related to collections to support business decisions.
  • Ensuring all processes comply with regulatory standards, such as SOX.
  • Suggesting improvements to existing processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, and credit and collections management software.
  • At least 1 year of credit/collections or customer service experience in corporate, high-volume environments.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis and risk management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
