Job Description:

The Tax and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in managing the organization's tax strategy, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, and mitigating tax risks.

This position involves collaboration with various departments, regulatory bodies, and external consultants to support the company's financial health and ensure adherence to legal and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company's global tax strategy to ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable tax laws.
  • Prepare, review, and file accurate tax returns within stipulated deadlines.
  • Collaborate with local tax consultants and service providers.
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify tax risks and opportunities, advising management on strategies to optimize tax liability.
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities to address inquiries and resolve disputes.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation changes and evaluate their implications on the business.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax management, compliance, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws, accounting principles, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tax compliance software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
