The Cloud Security Lead Consultant Specialist role involves continuously evaluating the cloud security posture and maturity, designing and championing security solutions. This position supports the execution of capabilities aligned to the cloud security vision, enabling strategic business objectives at an enterprise level.
The role entails:
- Managing development of security rules, configurations, automation, and recommending configuration changes to improve cloud security tools in Microsoft Azure Services (Azure).
- Owning security outcomes as per management direction and HSBC Policy.
- Reviewing/challenging/escalating requests for exemptions/exceptions from mandatory security requirements; driving consistent policy, process, and management across all Cloud platforms.
- Actively participating in Architecture/Design/Cloud Deployment Pattern reviews and providing feedback to ensure cloud services meet mandatory security requirements.
- Oversight of Cloud Security Assessment security reviews through manual and automated processes.
You will collaborate with vendors, client staff, and contractors to implement and integrate vendor-provided Cloud Security solutions as required. Additionally, you will liaise with Cloud platform engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand and drive best practice aligned to HSBC's mandatory controls.
This role requires strong knowledge of Cloud platforms, especially Azure, GitHub, Visual Studio, Python, Bash, PowerShell, SQL, XML, JSON, and CSV. Excellent communication skills are essential for building relationships with Cloud platform teams, security architects, application teams, and global/local IT teams.
Beyond technical skills, this position demands self-motivation, a high sense of urgency, personal integrity, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in Agile methodologies.
