Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Web Engineer to join our team at Avenga. As a key member of our product team, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our web applications. Your primary focus will be on building scalable, efficient, and user-friendly web solutions using modern front-end technologies such as React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and the DOM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In-depth knowledge of React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and the DOM is essential for this role.
  • You will be responsible for delivering high-quality web applications that meet our customers' expectations.
  • Experience with REST APIs using asynchronous patterns is necessary for this position.
  • Comfortable working with Git, including understanding of branching and merging workflows.
  • Optimizing code for performance and quality is a crucial aspect of this job.
  • Experience working in a Test Driven Development like environment.
  • Working knowledge of Apollo (client and server), React Hooks, SASS/SCSS, and Webpack.
  • Good knowledge of Node.js and production-level GraphQL.
  • Design-minded attention to user interface implementation.
  • Message-driven architectures, Kafka, and event sourcing.
  • Use of Jest, Cypress, and Pact for testing.


Product Team Collaboration:
As a Web Engineer, you will represent the product team in scheduling releases to customers. This includes preparing release notes and collaborating with the QA team to agree on testing scenarios for new feature releases. Additionally, you will support incident coordination and triage of customer issues, ensuring actions are articulated and prioritized to appropriate backlogs. You will also review, validate, and create clear and concise product documentation, support product governance, and coordinate regulatory conformance testing.
