Data Engineer - Technical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to lead the transformation of our data platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for migrating ETL workflows from a SAS platform to the Google Cloud (GCP), ensuring high performance and minimal disruption.

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing modern, robust, and scalable data platforms. They will also contribute to the wider lifecycle of product development, identifying opportunities for functional improvements, enhancements, and innovations on both back-end and front-end systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate ETL processes and workflows from the SAS platform to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with AI tools to translate SAS code into efficient cloud-native code, optimizing it for scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Design and implement a modern, robust, and scalable data platform, serving as a technical architect for key projects and long-term initiatives.
  • Develop interfaces between data storage and the data transformation engine in the form of scalable and secure APIs that enable seamless data flow and integration.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing data pipelines.
  • Expertise in GCP, including BigQuery, Python, SQL, API, Bitbucket, IaC, Terraform, AI, and machine learning.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including agile methodologies and version control.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
