Junior Data Engineer Python

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Junior Data Engineer with expertise in Python to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust data pipelines to support the growth of our business.

Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with our team to develop new features, building and maintaining data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, and monitoring trends in data engineering to propose improvements that align with our organizational goals.

You will also share your knowledge with other teams on data engineering and project-related topics and contribute to decision-making processes regarding tools and strategies for specific data integration scenarios.

Requirements
  • Data Engineer skills and experience
  • Proficiency in Python programming language
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database management systems (DBMS)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and orchestration tools
  • Experience with data processing frameworks and ETL/ELT processes
  • Understanding of version control systems and data warehousing principles
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of distributed computing approaches and non-relational databases
  • Experience with platforms like Informatica, Databricks, Talend, Fivetran, or similar
  • Basic knowledge of popular data standards and formats
