Key Responsibilities:
  • To design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Hadoop, Pyspark, and Spark SQL.
  • To work closely with the development team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • To collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements.
  • To participate in regular planning and status meetings.
  • To input into the development process through involvement in Sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • To liaise with Business Analysts to ensure that requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in software design and development, particularly with big data technologies.
  • Proficiency in Pyspark, Scala, and Java programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Apache Hadoop, YARN, Hive, and Spark SQL.
  • Experience with ETL frameworks, Map Reduce, SQL, and RESTful services.
  • Understanding of big data modeling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques.
  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines using Hadoop components - Hive, Spark, Spark SQL.
  • Sound knowledge on working Unix/Linux Platform.
  • Experience with industry standard version control tools (Git, GitHub), automated deployment tools (Ansible & Jenkins) and requirement management in JIRA.
