About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant II to join our dynamic PeopleCost Accounting team at Expedia Group. As a key member of our accounting operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our company's financial and management accounting policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop solid knowledge of accounting principles for one discipline, such as GAAP, Cost Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Revenue, or VAT Accounting.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and financial accounting standards, including IFRS and FASB.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate accounting records and data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, and provide support to other teams as needed.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in accounting or a related field, or 1-2 years with a CPA or Local GAAP Chartered Accountant certification.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Public accounting experience or industry experience with a high-tech industry leader is a plus.
  • Payroll accounting/People cost accounting experience is a plus.
  • Oracle or Blackline knowledge is a plus.
  • US Multi-National experience is a plus.
