We are seeking an experienced AML Compliance Expert to join our Assurance Testing and Monitoring team at Interactive Brokers Group. As a leading online trading platform, we take pride in being at the forefront of trading innovation and technological advancements.

Our team is responsible for performing independent testing activities to assess the design and effectiveness of first and second-line AML controls. You will be working closely with our Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to ensure that our controls are robust and aligned with applicable IBKR group procedures/policy and UK/EU AML legislation.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a unique blend of technical and analytical skills. You will be responsible for implementing and executing compliance testing programs for AML controls, participating in planning and execution of compliance assurance reviews, and producing reports on the effectiveness of controls.

You will also assist in developing and enhancing Assurance Testing Methodologies and Standards for testing, monitoring, and reporting. Additionally, you will utilize innovative compliance testing solutions, including Data Analytics, to add value and reduce costs of compliance-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and execute compliance testing program for AML controls in the first and second lines of defense.
  • Participate in the planning, execution, and reporting of compliance assurance reviews and regulatory issue validation.
  • Perform qualitative, risk-based testing on the first and second lines of defense by reviewing key control points from a population sample.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in AML compliance and regulations, with experience in implementing and executing compliance testing programs.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of using Oracle SQL to retrieve, filter, analyze, format, and present information from Oracle databases.
