Cloud Architecture Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architecture Specialist to join our team within the R&D Architecture - Solution Governance department. As a key member of our Architect team, you will be responsible for ensuring that services and applications developed by our clients are built with robust, fit-for-purpose, and coherent architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and apply software architecture design, covering functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work closely with engineers, tech leads, and other architects to achieve architectural coherence.
  • Participate in analysis and planning of projects, evaluating different technical approaches and providing input on feasibility and effort.
  • Capture needs for architectural changes during development and proactively assess existing solutions for improvement.
  • Contribute to the company's technical strategy, developing guidelines and documentation, and participating in special projects of research or prototyping.
Requirements:
  • Experience in agile development and research projects.
  • Strong understanding of cloud application and services, as well as distributed multicultural environments.
  • Msc or equivalent higher education in computer science or relevant field, or Bsc degree and demonstrated experience in designing and developing cloud applications.
  • Good understanding of the strategic direction of new products, processes, techniques, and programming languages (especially Java).
  • Excellent development skills, ability to capture and explain software design and architecture visually, and communicate solutions to different stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Azure cloud platform and PaaS services, Azure DevOps code, work, and pipeline tooling.
  • Leadership skills, international projects experience.
