We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to work closely with local experts in data analysis. The role involves analyzing incoming retailer data, mapping it to a common data model, configuring ingestion pipelines, and monitoring data processing workflows in Snowflake.

The project focuses on onboarding retailer point-of-sale sales data into a centralized cloud data warehouse based on Snowflake as part of a larger digital transformation initiative within the organization. This work aims to enable advanced analytics and commercial insights across multiple European markets. The onboarding process must be agile to accommodate constant changes in retailer systems and data structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and understanding incoming retailer files, performing data mapping to a common retailer point-of-sale data model.
  • Configuring scripts to drive semi-automated ingestion processes, handling small transformations, and triggering data pipelines.
  • Maintaining data quality by performing basic validation and reconciliation, investigating issues, reprocessing data, and rerunning transformation jobs.
  • Supporting multiple parallel onboarding streams across different countries and retailers at varying stages of maturity.
  • Adapting quickly to evolving retailer data formats and platform migrations.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience working with semi-structured data formats (e.g., JSON).
  • Proficient in SQL for data exploration, reporting, and transformation tasks.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake.
