IT Specialist for Trading Applications

We are looking for a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to join our team at GFT Poland. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to our clients in the finance sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities, with experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. You will work closely with our development teams to identify and resolve application issues, ensuring that our trading applications run smoothly and efficiently.

In this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on-call support rota and perform occasional weekend work. This will involve monitoring, detecting and troubleshooting issues in Linux application environments, responding to queries regarding application functionality, working with vendors on upgrades, preparing and testing software and configuration changes as well as some shell scripting to automate common tasks.

• Provide high-quality technical support to our clients in the finance sector
• Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve application issues
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call support rota and perform occasional weekend work
• Maintain accurate records of support interactions and incidents
• Recommend ways to improve the supportability, availability, efficiency of the application, procedure and working practices

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Strong technical knowledge of Linux, SQL, Docker and shell scripting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• 1st or 2nd Line of Support background and experience as an Application Support Engineer
• General CI/CD (DevOps process) knowledge
