Job Title: Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and workflows.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop scalable data pipelines and workflows for efficient data processing
  • Evaluate and ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability
  • Optimize query performance through strategic planning and implementation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize data needs and optimize business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain robust data models to support business decision-making
  • Build and maintain ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration
  • Maintain high-performing data processing and storage systems through proactive monitoring and management
  • Identify and resolve complex data-related issues through analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing batch-based data pipelines with proven track record of success
  • Strong programming skills in Scala (Java + Spark combo also acceptable) with ability to write clean, efficient code
  • Familiarity with database technologies and ability to design optimal database architectures
  • Solid understanding of big data technologies including Spark and Hadoop
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools like Airflow and CI/CD practices using GitHub Actions
  • Able to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum environments with international teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to articulate technical ideas effectively
