Cloud Engineer Role

This is a challenging role that involves working on building and managing a highly resilient, scalable, performant, and developer-friendly GKE Kubernetes Platform in an automated and efficient manner.

The Cloud Engineer will work alongside Application DevOps teams and cross-functional IT teams to ensure the successful deployment of applications to Kubernetes. The engineer will be required to use their initiative to innovate and achieve maximum performance, as well as investigate and utilize new products/services offered by GCP and the Cloud Native community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Platform Engineering: Build and manage the HSBC GKE Kubernetes Platform to enable easy deployment for application teams.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide support engineers, represent the platform technically through talks, blog posts, and discussions.
  • Engineering Solutions: Engineer solutions on HSBC GKE Kubernetes Platform using coding, automation, and infrastructure as code methods.
