Welcome to the Mobile Engineering team at HSBC Technology Poland.

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Mobile Platform teams. This role will involve developing new mobile apps and online experiences, using digital messaging to enhance customer relationships, building and improving the underlying technology and security platforms, and innovating propositions to compete effectively in a mobile, data-driven world.

The successful candidate will be part of a cross-functional team growing our digital capabilities, driving innovation, delivering products in ever-shortening cycles, and helping to drive the continuous improvement of our processes, tooling, and engineering practices.

About the Role
  • Develop high-quality mobile applications as per agreed requirements, delivering on time and to group and local standards.
  • Participate in development efforts and work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Analysis, and UX design.
  • Apply technical experience to implement solutions across the full stack.
  • Produce efficient code that meets definition of done for business requirements, considering technical dependencies and non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure systems support business needs in terms of design, technical debt is under control, and the system can be cost-effectively maintained.
About You
  • You have decent experience in developing, deploying, and supporting complex iOS applications.
  • You have great knowledge of Swift and Objective-C.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of Apple recommended design principles, interface guidelines, and coding best practices.
  • You have experience with code coverage, UI, and unit testing tools like XCTest, Specta, Expecta, OCMock, Appium, etc.
  • You have good knowledge of Xcode/AppCode IDE, build, and distribution processes.
  • You have expert knowledge of building responsive user experiences across phones and tablets, with accessibility principles in mind.
  • You have knowledge of performance, scalability, security, architecture, and engineering best practices, as well as dependency managers such as CocoaPods.
  • You have experience working with CI/CD and SAST/MAST tooling.
  • You have good knowledge of RESTful services.
