About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our ITDS team in Krakow, Poland. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying cloud data platforms that drive performance and efficiency across our global engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop data ingest, refinement, and presentation layers for our cloud data platform
  2. Operate and iterate on cloud data platform capabilities to meet internal engineering needs
  3. Ensure data quality through automated solutions and consistent data validation practices
  4. Collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
  5. Implement and optimize data schemas, marts, and pipelines for data enrichment
  6. Apply best practices in data modeling to improve storage and retrieval efficiency
  7. Leverage DevOps principles in an agile, product-oriented work environment
  8. Support continuous integration and delivery for seamless data flow into production
  9. Monitor and troubleshoot issues to ensure system stability and reliability
  10. Adapt quickly to evolving technologies and contribute to a culture of experimentation and learning

Requirements

  • Data engineering experience with ETL and streaming
  • 7+ years of professional experience with SQL and data manipulation
  • Proven expertise in GCP and BigQuery for cloud-based data processing
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, with experience balancing schema trade-offs
  • Hands-on experience with automated data quality control systems
  • Familiarity with orchestration and scheduling tools
  • Background in DevOps, with experience in building, deploying, and maintaining data solutions
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes for efficient and reliable data operations
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working across global teams
  • Adaptability to work in an agile and continuously changing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and managing cloud data platforms
  • Proficiency with Git, Maven, Shell scripting, and Python
  • Familiarity with data architecture principles and practices
  • Eagerness to take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and resolving issues
  • Ability to collaborate with technical staff and project managers for effective delivery
