Hotel Front Desk Receptionist Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Hotel Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth guest arrival and departure experience.
- Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves minor customer complaints and escalates to superiors if necessary.
- Check guests in and out in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Ensure that guests are assigned the type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arrange for luggage to be delivered to guest rooms. Issue correct keys to guests.
- Respond to all guest requests in all channels in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that all financial and credit procedures are followed.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries, and special requests.
- Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department staff.
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience from a front office of a 5* hotel or similar luxury environment is required.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and previous experience working at high-paced and dynamic environments.
- Outstanding communication skills and command of the English language.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all types of shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, Internet, and Opera.
