Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in the Benelux region. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Accountant in directing and controlling all financial accounting processes for entities within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Statutory Annual Accounts: Prepare yearly statutory annual accounts for entities in scope and align with external auditor requirements, including legal compliance.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and support the Tax department with Corporate Income Tax calculations.
  • Internal Controls: Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls for key accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Month-End Closing: Perform month-end closing activities for responsible entities, including revaluation and exchange differences analysis.
  • Reporting: Prepare and execute monthly reporting activities, analyzing and reconciling GL accounts and cost centers, including payroll accounting.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Provide ad hoc issue solving and project support.
  • SOX Control Activities: Prepare and execute SOX control activities and statistical reporting.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with people at different locations and levels in the organization.
  • Degree: At least a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, preferably a Master's degree.
  • Accounting Experience: At least 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in an international environment.
  • Language Skills: Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English language, with knowledge of another language being an additional asset.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of SAP preferred.
