Job Title: Data Platform Engineer - Cloud Solutions Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Platform Engineer with expertise in leading Databricks practices, establishing standards, and driving adoption. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining scalable Data Platforms in Azure cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage your experience in leading Databricks practices to establish and drive adoption within an organization.
  • Built a Data Platform in the Azure cloud that enables multiple Data teams to start and maintain projects autonomously.
  • Mentor junior engineers in building the Data Platform and delegate tasks accordingly.
  • Evaluate and optimize costs for Databricks workloads to ensure efficient resource utilization.
  • Select and configure clusters tailored to specific workload requirements.
  • Integrate Databricks into existing Azure network setups to enable seamless data sharing.
  • Automate the deployment and management of Databricks environments using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Use Terraform as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool for managing resources.
  • Implement secure data-sharing solutions within Databricks to ensure compliance and governance.
  • Define and automate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) best practices, integrating with Azure Entra ID entities.
