We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for building and running our client's data platform using technologies such as public cloud infrastructure (AWS), Kafka, databases, and containers.

You will develop Tradeweb's data science platform based on open source software and Cloud services.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and running ETL pipelines to onboard data into the platform.
  • Defining schema, building DAG processing pipelines, and monitoring data quality.
  • Helping develop machine learning development framework and pipelines.
  • Managing and running mission-critical production services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in:

  • Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Presto, etc.
  • ETL tools like Kafka, Spark, Flink, Airflow/Prefect, etc.
  • Data science stack: e.g. Juypter, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Dask, Pytorch, MLFlow, Kubeflow, etc.
  • Cloud platforms AWS/GCP and Kubernetes.
  • DevOps practices and automation.

A nice-to-have is experience with:

  • Development skills in C++, Java, Go, Rust.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and distributed systems.
  • Managing time series data.
  • Familiarity with working with open source communities.
  • Financial Services experience.
What We Offer

We offer long-term cooperation, fully remote work, and a competitive rate of $50-$60 USD per hour net.

This role requires at least 6 hours of overlap in Eastern Time (ET) working hours.
