In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining automated test scripts using various testing frameworks and tools. You will collaborate with the QA and development teams to understand project requirements and define an automation testing strategy. Your tasks will include executing automated test suites regularly as part of the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process, monitoring test results, analyzing failures, and reporting defects to the development team.
You will also be required to maintain and update automated test scripts to keep them in sync with the application changes, incorporate automated tests into the continuous integration process to ensure that new changes do not introduce regression issues, and document and track defects found during testing using bug tracking tools. Additionally, you will manage and create test data necessary for automated test execution.
This position requires a strong understanding of Agile methodology, automated testing concepts and tools, and analytical skills. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, JS, and C# is essential. Experience with testing frameworks like Selenium WebDriver and Appium, as well as CI/CD processes, is also desirable. Furthermore, knowledge of version control systems like Git and SVN is a plus.
