IT Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join our team as a Cloud and DevOps Expert. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to take on a key role in shaping the technical direction of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale database systems both on-premises and cloud-based
• Automate workflows and processes to keep systems up-to-date
• Implement observability solutions, including logging, monitoring, and alerting, to support incident management and prevent user impact
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Cybersecurity and IT teams to develop and maintain solutions that protect our clients
• Investigate and deliver innovation within the Cybersecurity team for both BAU and strategic projects

Requirements:

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Strong understanding of operating systems and networking concepts
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as bash
• Knowledge of network protocols and security measures
• Familiarity with Ansible and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools
• ITIL certification and experience with Agile delivery methodologies
• Windows Server and cloud computing experience, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools, such as Terraform and Helm
• Database management skills, with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and PostgreSQL
• Containerization and orchestration knowledge, with experience in Docker and Kubernetes
• Service mesh and monitoring expertise, with familiarity with Splunk and application performance monitoring tools
• Programming skills in Python and PowerShell
• Familiarity with secrets management tools, such as Hashicorp Vault
• Experience with project management tools, like Jira
