We are seeking a skilled Cloud Data Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Holisticon Connect. As a key member of our data infrastructure project, you will design and implement a cloud-based data infrastructure using AWS services such as S3, RDS, and Lambda.

Job Description:

Project Overview:

We are working on a greenfield data infrastructure project for a fast-growing UK-based company in the e-mobility sector. This is an excellent opportunity to build scalable data architecture from the ground up and have a direct impact on business-critical reporting and insights.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a cloud-based data infrastructure using AWS services (e.g. S3, RDS, Lambda);
  • Build serverless, event-driven ETL pipelines to process and transform large datasets from multiple sources (CSV via sFTP, APIs);
  • Migrate and consolidate historical data into a central data lake and structured data warehouse;
  • Automate a critical business report that directly impacts funding decisions;
  • Securely integrate the new data warehouse with Power BI to support reporting and dashboarding;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and optimize the proposed pipeline architecture;
  • Support planning of future data platform development phases.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience with AWS services, including S3, RDS, and Lambda;
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data modeling best practices;
  • Hands-on experience with Python or another programming language used for serverless processing;
  • Familiarity with batch data ingestion, particularly via sFTP or AWS Transfer Family;
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and scalable, cloud-native data solutions;
  • Understanding of data warehouse principles and Power BI integrations;
  • Practical experience with CloudWatch for monitoring and logging of serverless workflows;
  • Attention to data quality, testing, and error handling in data pipelines;
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset – you'll work closely with both tech and business teams.
