Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team at Kindgeek. As a key member of our product implementation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing microservices architecture for our payment service.

About the Project:

Our project aims to deliver a secure and user-friendly pay-by-bank payment service, enabling customers to make online purchases directly from their bank accounts. By leveraging Open Banking APIs and PSD2 regulations, we will provide a seamless and efficient payment experience, reducing transaction costs and increasing conversion rates.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design microservices architecture considering elaborated requirements
  2. Presentation and agreement on the architecture with the Product Owner and CTO
  3. Maintenance and development of engineering culture within the product implementation team
  4. Implementation of a payment service using Node.js, Express.js, and NoSQL database

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience developing high-load scalable applications;
  • Strong knowledge of Architecture and Design patterns;
  • Understanding of distributed systems and integrations;
  • Experience in delivering good testing practices;
  • Strong knowledge of NodeJS and Express.js;
  • Knowledge of NoSQL Database like MongoDB or DocumentDB on AWS;
  • Experience with a Node framework (such as Express, Fastify or NestJS), JavaScript, design and implement REST API;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Outstanding attention to detail;
  • Min. B2 (Upper Intermediate) English level;
  • A customer-centric, empathetic mindset with excellent listening skills;
  • An ability to focus on what counts, creating simple solutions to deliver fast results;
  • A passion for learning and a desire for self-improvement.
