Remote Engineering Team Lead Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in web development, preferably with experience in frontend and backend (LAMP stack) technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers in the development of high-quality travel experiences.
  • Own and evolve importer systems and booking integrations using AI to optimize workflows and content quality.
  • Design scalable and secure systems for internal tools and external APIs.
  • Collaborate with leadership, product, and other tech teams to ensure high standards in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of learning, growth, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Contribute to hiring and team development.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of web development experience, ideally across frontend and backend (LAMP stack).
  • 2+ years of Tech Lead experience.
  • Fluent in multiple programming languages (PHP, Python, Go, TypeScript).
  • Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony.
  • Solid understanding of APIs (REST, SOAP, XML-RPC).
  • Experience with microservices.
  • Experience with RDBMS (schema design, indices, caching).
  • Experience with testing and automation tools (e.g. PHPUnit, Codeception, Behat).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
  • Ability to identify and solve performance and scalability challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to drive meaningful change.
