Database Administrator Role

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to oversee database processes. This individual will be responsible for ensuring high availability, optimizing performance, and maintaining databases.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functioning.
  • Manage database backups, restoration, and disaster recovery processes to prevent data loss.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Optimize and tune database performance by analyzing queries, indexes, and storage.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, and procedures to support business applications.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database systems, including SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Develop and maintain database documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches with minimal downtime.
  • Manage database access and user permissions to ensure secure data access.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MySQL, SQL, MariaDB, IBM Db2, Linux, AIX, Oracle, IBM AIX, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of database security, scripting languages (Python, PowerShell), and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working on international projects with diverse teams.
