  • proficiency in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure automation,
  • hands-on experience with Jenkins, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, and CodeDeploy for continuous integration and deployment,
  • familiarity with AppDynamics and CloudWatch for system health monitoring and performance optimization,
  • experience with Jira and ServiceNow for incident tracking and team collaboration,
  • strong expertise in Linux; familiarity with Windows OS is a plus,
  • proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python,
  • experience in Troubleshooting Java/JVM applications, heap dump analysis, handled memory leakage issues
  • nice to have: high-level understanding of middleware tools like Tomcat, Kafka, Zookeeper, Hopewiser, SmartComm, Radar, MongoDB, MuleSoft, and Guidewire (Gosu)

The project is for the UK client from the insurance domain. 

6 months contract with the possibility of extention.

 Responsibilities: 
  1. Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, RDS, and VPC.
    • Implement and manage secure and scalable cloud architectures.
  2. Automation and Configuration:
    • Use Ansible to automate system configuration and application deployment.
    • Write and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for provisioning resources.
  3. Containerization:
    • Develop and maintain Docker containers for application deployment.
    • Implement and manage Kubernetes clusters to orchestrate containerized applications.
  4. Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD):
    • Set up, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS CodePipeline.
    • Facilitate smooth and efficient code deployment through automation.
  5. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Monitor system health and application performance using AppDynamics and AWS CloudWatch.
    • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and incidents proactively.
  6. Collaboration and Incident Management:
    • Use Jira and ServiceNow to track incidents and collaborate with team members.
    • Participate in team retrospectives to improve processes and response strategies.
  7. Linux and Windows System Administration:
    • Administer Linux servers and perform troubleshooting for system-related issues.
    • Provide support and administration for Windows OS environments as needed.
  8. Scripting and Troubleshooting:
    • Develop scripts in Bash, PowerShell, and Python to automate routine tasks.
    • Troubleshoot Java/JVM applications, conduct heap dump analysis, and solve memory issues.
  9. Middleware and Integration (as needed):
    • Support and manage middleware tools, ensuring seamless integration across applications.
    • Assist with the setup and maintenance of data flow and processing using tools like Kafka, MongoDB, and MuleSoft.
  10. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document architecture, processes, and operational procedures for future reference.
    • Provide regular reports on system health and performance metrics.
