What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Excellent in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), including deployment, configuration management at senior level is a must, proficiency in developing and managing **Ansible playbooks**, roles, and workflows
- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker is a must, as well with containerization and orchestration tools
- HashiCorp Vault, CI/CD tools GIThub, Jira, Jenkins (shared libraries), Maven, Groovy, Ansible
- Strong Knowledge about API design standards, patterns and best-practices especially Swagger and OpenAPI 3.0, REST, JSON, Microservices
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure management (Linux/Windows servers, storage, networking)
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
- Solid understanding of Agile testing discipline, e.g. TDD and experience applying these principles.
- Strong agile/scrum development experience, proven experience in Compute, Hypervisors, Storage, Windows, Networks and Linux, strong background working with Data/Linux/UNIX environments, strong Monitoring and Alerting – AppDynamics & Splunk

Senior Python Developer is responsible for providing engineering expertise in an engineering area which may include, but is not limited to, data engineering, security engineering, front-end engineering and user experience engineering.
They may be responsible for supporting platforms specific to a HSBC business area that requires specialist Technology engineering expertise; they may be accountable for a product or service within a Technology engineering specialism; or they may provide subject matter expertise to one or more Technology teams on the area of their Technology engineering specialism.
,[Lead, drive and implement highly scalable and complex solutions, Both Immutable Infrastructure, and a strong desire to expand their experience architecting and implementing cloud solutions, May have end to end accountability for one or more products or services within or across GB/GF boundaries, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey and they may have budget, quality and delivery responsibility as appropriate. Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders within HSBC and across the industry to understand and drive the product or service’s direction., Work with Agile methodology, representing the Pod and Area lead in standups and problem-solving meetings, Drive the creation of technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality. Provide support to DevOps teams working at all stages of the life cycle with a strong customer focus and end to end journeys, ensuring they have an excellent domain knowledge, Enables SRE culture through solving problems with engineering. Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered., Create technical test plans and records, including unit and integration tests, within automated test environments to ensure code quality.
