In the two-consultant model, we seek a Senior Frontend/UI Engineering Consultant who will partner with a QA Automation Senior to deliver the UI quality transformation. This role focuses on front-end engineering excellence, testability, tooling and enabling UI developers to transition towards Dev + QA + Automation ownership. Responsibilities: Review and optimise UI architecture and development workflows. Recommend best practices for building testable Angular applications. Guide standards for coding, components, design systems, accessibility and UI consistency. Work closely with the QA Automation Senior to define testability guidelines, evaluate test approaches and support shift-left quality practices. Support the integration of Playwright and contract testing into UI engineering workflows. Assist with the migration from GitLab CI/CD to GitHub pipelines. Provide input on tooling and quality gates for the front-end. Coach UI engineers to evolve into full-stack UI quality engineers. Introduce effective usage patterns of GitHub Copilot for front-end work. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and cross-team reviews. Work with leadership in the UK and engineering teams in India. Co-create transformation plans with the QA Automation Senior. And if you possess... Deep experience with Angular and JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong competency in UI architecture, design systems and component development. Experience designing testable UI and collaborating with QA. Knowledge of CI/CD for UI applications, ideally GitHub Actions. Experience enabling modern SaaS front-end engineering practices.Nice to Have: Competence with UX tools such as Figma and accessibility frameworks. Familiarity with Playwright and contract testing methodologies. Experience with AI-enabled UI development.
