Custom Development Site Reliability Engineer @ Instructure Hungary Ltd

What you will need to know/have: This will be the first hire for our distributed team based in Hungary; while working hours are flexible, you will generally be expected to work until around 6:30–7:00 PM to overlap with our US teams. 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure role. Deep expertise with AWS. Hands-on proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation). Strong experience with observability platforms (Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana). Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language, preferably Ruby. Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). A systems-thinker with a passion for troubleshooting complex problems and improving processes. It would be a bonus if you also had: Experience working within a client-facing Professional Services or technical consulting organization. Background in managing the reliability of APIs, middleware, and complex data integrations. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
