Junior .NET Backend Software Engineer @ VISA

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications
Associate: 2 or more years of work experience

• Knowledge of and ability to develop back-end (.NET, C#, SQL, MongoDB or Kafka, CI/CD) code in support of package and product development. This includes the extension of capabilities of packages and products.
• The ability to develop and utilize Application Program Interfaces (APIs), a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications that specify how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components. An API may be for a web-based system, operating system, database system, computer hardware, or software library.
• Knowledge of and the ability to use database software (e.g., applications, web-based applications, information systems) to maintain, modify, and output data.
• Knowledge of systems integration process in which separately produced components or subsystems are combined and problems in their interactions are addressed.
• Knowledge of data structures, which consist of data organization, management, and storage formats that enable efficient access and modifications. This includes a collection of data values, the relationships among them, and the functions or operations that can be applied to the data.
• Willingness to learn and work with technologies such as ServiceNow and/or Microsoft Dynamics

Job Description

Visa is seeking a passionate Software Test Engineer to join a collaborative team of hands-on, passionate professionals developing innovative products. The person in this position will be responsible for testing products and features developed by cross-functional teams, developing test plans and test cases mapping to product requirements, documenting end-user scenarios, detecting and reporting UI, API, and system-wide issues, participating in triaging defects, automating test cases to assist with production release regression testing, and preparing test reports and release readiness reports for components, APIs, and product feature integrations. .
